Little Red had physiotherapy yesterday morning. We were located at one end of the shared area that can be separated by various curtains. We were the first ones in and all was going on as usual which is basically the girls running amok while Baby Bear’s allied health staff observe her. They enjoyed going up and down some small steps, complete with a platform at the top, that are in a corner of the room. First it was taking each step backwards on their knees, then it was by bum, then Copperhead became confident enough to hang on to the railing and navigate by foot. Watching the scene unfold made me think it could easily have been some kind of M.C Escher live art installation.
Then other patients came in for physio and for a time the girls had an encouraging audience to which they used their tiny stage to it’s full potential. With this also came a chance for them to escape via the door that had been left open and I had to chase them down a long winding corridor (seriously, what is it with me and hallways?). After squeals of laughter and more glances from the adoring public who seemed to spontaneously appear and line each side of hall, I was rewarded with a hearty workout as I rugby balled each girl under my arms and walked back to the room.
After a long nap and hearty lunch, it was Garden Time. This is often complete with me terrorizing the girls by chasing and kicking bouncy balls at them – honestly not as bad as it sounds! They also found my clothes pegs…
Tea soon rolled around, followed by bath. We (by that I mean Little Red) had another Red Alert so Little Man and Copperhead had a shower together while Hubby changed her. I was talking to LM so we (me) momentarily lost C when she sneaked past me and out of the bathroom. I found her moments later, in her birthday suit happily playing in her big brothers bedroom. I won’t tell him about that though because he’s already overly concerned that his sisters have germs.
And then, after all that, it was bottles, Ben and Holly and bed. Bliss.
