So, as you know, I’ve been getting my fitness on by joining a gym. I now go four days a week participating in two Body Balance, two Zumba and one Step class (that’s right, your math is correct, I do participate in two classes in one day! *kissing the big guns*). I have to admit that I love it. The place is friendly, the instructors great and I’m starting to see – and feel – some real benefits.
Since I’ve been a bit slow on the whole exercise front I don’t really own any proper “fashionable” gym clothes, just a few pairs of leggings and tops from Target. Don’t get me wrong, they do the job fine, however, when I’ve lost a dress size or two I plan on treating myself to some Lorna Jane (great quality work-out wear that comes with a heavier price tag than the Red Dot Boutique). What I do really believe in though, is taking care of your feet, and while my old trainers have done me well for the past four years I felt it really was time for a new pair. Could also have been that piece of plastic jabbing out through the heal lining that gave me the idea too.
Now, you may be wondering how on earth I can waffle on about a new pair of trainers to the point it requires it’s own post and not just a photo on Instagram. Well, because I’ve not been happy with my body shape for a while I don’t really get any pleasure from clothes shopping. The fact I deem myself worthy enough for a pair of sparkly new trainers is a big thing for me and one that has given me so much happiness.
You see a pair of new trainers and I see hope, confidence and health.
I also see the fact I’m going to be making all my fellow work out buddies mega jello come my next class *insert winky face here*.
Until next time,
Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post. Trainers purchased from Footlocker (reduced by over 50% due to a teeny-tiny mark on one of the tongues). Love me a bargain, especially of the hot pink and turquoise variety.
