Okay, so it’s the last few photos from my #100happydays and I’ll be signing off for a bit now – my next post will be published on Friday 2nd January. I thought I’d let you know so you’re not left in nail-biting suspense because I don’t post anything for a few days*.

Day 99

When whimsy and tacky collide. I love my $3 tile! It makes me smile every time I see it.

Day 100

After a great day complete with mystery gift left at the front door for Little Man, I've struggled to pick the last "happy" photo. I've decided this one because it symbolises the ease of our daily routine, the continual learning LM surprises me with and, by starting our herb/veg patch, how we're doing something new together.

I haven’t managed to get any of our tree yet – even after The Mothership warned me to “tie it up like I had to when you were young”. I asked her if that really was the correct way in how to manage it. I mean, you’ve basically just provided a safe and secure climbing challenge. After briefly wondering if this is why I’m scared of heights and pine cones and envisioning Little Man scaling our tree and/or pulling it on himself we politely asked him to be careful and hey presto, the kid listened – who knew? It could also have something to do with not wanting to step in Oscars pine needle laden vomit that continually surrounds the base.

We have our Mothers Group Christmas pool party this morning and I am beyond excited (pool party? In December? I will never get used to the seasons here!). To see all my BFFs in one place at the same time is not a regular thing now so I’m feeling really lucky it’s all come together. I’m hoping Little Man has a HUGE play and when we come home he sleeps for several hours so I can, you’know, have my nap too.

We also plan on doing a lot more garden work over the holiday period and I’ll also be carrying on that series in the new year and catching you all up. Basically you can look forward to different shots of stained wood and gravel.

If you will be celebrating then stay safe and be merry. If you’re not celebrating, well, same to you anyway! After all, being merry and staying safe is kinda’ my thing!

Until next time,

*Disclaimer – this is a joke. I am not expecting anyone to keep refreshing hourly to see if a new post is up. I also hate that I feel the need to write this but such is the internet these days…
